PEDAGOGIC INSERTS AND SCHOOL RESTRUCTURING

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

In collaboration with Sergio Trujillo Arquitectos, we proposed a series of projects to accommodate the new needs of the Fundación Liceo Inglés de Pereira (Risaralda, Colombia). This entailed three different pedagogic inserts that functioned as infrastructural devices capable of potentializing school dynamics: an open-air plaza, a ramp that doubles as exhibition space, and a new set of classrooms. The main idea of the projects was to make architecture a direct participant of pedagogic processes, while assembling new activities into the previous structure in a coherent and cohesive manner.
